So we live in West Maui, which is accessible by only one main road. I was across the island (in Kahului) and a fire broke out on the Poly (the highway road to the West side). I unfortunately got stuck across island for the night as the firefighters worked hard to get the fire under control. Lucky for me, one of my oldest friends in the world lives in Kula and I was able to crash with them.
This is their dog, Nalu, doing her “sit pretty” for a treat.
Although the fire was raging, I caught a sweet rainbow on my way up to Kula.
