Agility Tunnel Training

Agility is great exercise and a great bonding activity for you and your dog to learn together.   But how do you get your dog started in agility?  A great way to start is to find an introduction class in your area.  This will give you some good hands on experience and give you an opportunity to ask questions.  But if you don’t have that option in your area, you can easily start some of the basic on your own.

I am personally new to agility and agility training.  As a dog professional, I am always interested in learning about new and different aspects of training that I may not be as familiar with.  Ahsoka and I started agility training about two years ago.  Ahsoka is a very high energy dog and I was looking for another outlet for her energy.  Agility was a fantastic fit.  If you have a high energy dog or a dog that needs more mental stimulation, give agility a try.  There are many pieces of agility equipment.  Today we are going to talk about the tunnel.  Agility tunnels can easily and cheaply be purchased online.  Be sure to get a tunnel that is the appropriate size for your dog.
